9. BURDEN 1 2 3 4 5
10. BUZZ 1 2 3 4 5

TOTAL SCORE: 42

NOTES:

- great spot to grab a burger and beer with a nice large outdoor area and indoor areas that open up to the outside

- very tasty burger that’s cooked to perfection

- I appreciate the thought put into the bun, but I felt the bread to meat ratio was a little too high

- jalapenos would have been better if grilled with the burger and melted in the cheese

- kid & pet friendly location

- pretty cool architecture if you’re into that kind of thing

- not a lot of burger or beer options, but what they have is done right

- our burgers were ready unbelievably fast, almost as if pre-ordered by ESP

James: DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER w/ fries. Two 1/3 lb. patties, medium-rare, with grilled onions, jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and cheddar cheese on a challah roll.

9. BURDEN 1 2 3 4 5
10. BUZZ 1 2 3 4 5

TOTAL SCORE: 42

NOTES:

- burger meat was cooked perfectly, but not mixed with any spices

- cool indoor/outdoor atmosphere that really takes advantage of the climate

- not a great selection of craft beers

- I finished a double without too much pain

- grilled onions were great, but I was a little disappointed with the jalapenos

- they weren’t fresh, grilled and integrated with the bundle, rather they were put on the side nacho style, definitely a missed opportunity for boldness

- they also have an outdoor fire pit which is pretty cool

9. BURDEN 1 2 3 4 5
10. BUZZ 1 2 3 4 5

TOTAL SCORE: 39

NOTES:

- only having one burger option definitely hurt their score

- very good quality meat and bacon was cooked perfectly (crispy)

- kind of pricey at $11, especially with having to pay $1 each to add bacon, cheese and avocado

- I would skip adding the avocado next time, it didn’t really add much and made it messier

- the cheese and bacon are a must add

- the most amazing add was their homemade ketchup (some of the best I’ve ever had) and stone ground mustard

- indoors was crowded with an event going on so I only saw the bar and sat outside, which had a nice large patio

9. BURDEN 1 2 3 4 5
10. BUZZ 1 2 3 4 5

TOTAL SCORE: 44

NOTES:

- this is an old school place (family owned since 1942) that’s always been popular & has blown up since its appearance on “Man Vs. Food”

- had to wait about 35 min. to get seated but you can have a drink or two while waiting

- sorta divey feeling but with an old timey vibe

- super friendly staff

- only beef burgers available, but about 20 types on the menu, some have ham on them as well

- pretty tasty wings that are pretty massive if you’re looking for an appetizer

- if you’re really hungry try the Thurman-ator: two 3/4 lb. patties with cheese and ham, developed for Arnold
